Hey! I'm Shirley. I’m passionate about problem solving, strategic analysis, and design-thinking across industries and products.
Currently at McKinsey & Company, I advise Fortune 500 clients in new business building strategy and product, from consumer to retail to automotive. I also co-host the Move with Power podcast with my best friend (and our 4-interns-strong team) on work and life in our 20s.
Previously at Better, a B2C fintech, I led a team of engineers and designers to disrupt the traditional mortgage process by optimizing the product experience.
My passion for business and product began at my alma mater, Wellesley College, where I double majored in Economics and Media Arts & Sciences (computer science and UX), and took on various research roles at MIT. I interned at Goldman Sachs on the Apple Card team and helped launch a web-based creative ideation tool, Looking Sideways, at the MIT Media Lab.
Below, you can find some of my favorite projects, in which I developed innovative technology-based solutions to problems in urban planning, finance, health insurance, and more —
